A PUNK Pop band  have been scouted after thrilling crowds at the Rhyl Beach Festival.

Jordan Harwood, Nyall Darlington and Jake Taylor, all 17, form the band Contagious and they have been given a slot by talent organisers for the V-Dub Island Festival on the Isle of Wight in August, after their performances on both days at the Rhyl festival caught the eye.

Taylor, the group’s Guitarist and backing vocalist, said; “This could finally be the big break we have been working so hard for.

“The festival promoters said they were impressed with our original material and our high energy performances on stage. We could not be happier about it and we’re just so excited to be playing such a big and popular festival.”

Contagious are now in their third year of performing in various venues along the North Wales coast, and they will be performing alongside 70 other live bands from across the country at V-Dub Island Festival, which runs from August 14-18.

All three band members are close friends and are currently half way through their A Level studies at Emrys Ap Iwan, Abergele.
