A WOMAN in her 70's has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after she crashed her car into a Prestatyn bar last night.

The incident occurred at around 9pm when a Volkswagen Polo crashed into the side wall of Bar 236 on Meliden Road.

There was significant damage to both the vehicle and the wall, but nobody is believed to have sustained injuries from the crash.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said; "We were called to a site on Meliden Road after a report a car had collided with a wall.

"Ambulance and fire crews also attended the scene, and the local authority were also informed about the structure of the building."

The woman, who has not been named, remains in custody pending further enquiries.
