FORMER Prestatyn resident Carol Vorderman has won Rear of the Year for the second time.

The 53-year-old, a former pupil at Blessed Edward Jones High School, Rhyl, is the first person ever to win the award twice, beating out X Factor judge Cheryl Cole to top spot.

She said: "I am both surprised and flattered to win the award for a second time - particularly at this stage of my life.

"As I said when I won it in 2011, I always suspected there were a lot of people out there who were glad to see the back of me. It now appears there were even more than I thought."

The former Countdown and Loose Women presenter came out on top from the 10,000 votes that were cast by the public.

Former X Factor finalist Olly Murs won the male version of the award, with former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray in second place.
