A NORTH Wales education board has announced major staffing changes for the next academic year.
The principals at three of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai's biggest colleges will change, coinciding with the departing of Coleg Llandrillo Principal Jackie Doodson, who has left the group for a Principalship of a college in England.
Glyn Jones, chief executive officer of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, said: “Jackie was the Principal of Coleg Llandrillo within the group. She has contributed a great deal to the organisation over the years, and we wish her well in her new post.”
Mrs Doodson will be replaced by Dafydd Evans, with Dr Ian Rees taking over as Principal of Coleg Menai, and Linda Wyn taking over as Principal of Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor.
All three Principals will have cross-group responsibilities as part of the new shake-up, which has been implented with the intention of taking the group to the next stage of its development.
Kath Coughlin will remain as the Executive Director of Corporate Services, and the new senior team will be led by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai chief executive, Glyn Jones.
Dr Roy Bichan, chairman of the Grŵp Llandrillo Menai Board, said: “Following the successful merger and creation of the new Grŵp, the Board is very keen for the organisation to move to the next stage in its development.
“I think that changing some responsibilities will support that development. While we are sad to be losing Jackie, the Grŵp retains an excellent senior team and we look forward to a successful future.”
