George is an African Grey like the parrot pictured above

AN AFRICAN grey parrot has gone missing from Prestatyn on Sunday evening.

George the parrot escaped from his home on Sunday, June 15 and was last seen on Meliden Road near the corner of Bryntirion Drive before heading towards the railway line.

Owner, Simon Cabb, said: “I’m very upset to have lost him, he’s been in the family for over 25 years. He must be getting hungry by now as it’s been a few days.”

There have been other sightings in the area on June 16 around Highbury Avenue, Bodnant Infant School, Sandy Lane and there have been reports of people who believe they have heard him in the park on Station Road.

Simon has said if anybody sees the parrot to call out “George you alright” or “Bye” and he should respond.

There will be a reward for anyone who can find George. If you see him you can call Simon on 07816853059 or Alex on 07814588529.
