A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis in Towyn.

North Wales Police officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act last Sunday (May, 25) in the Towyn area after a number of what are believed to be cannabis plants were found.

The 37-year-old woman has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Kalum Davies, sergeant, said: “This was an intelligence led operation and part of our on-going work to tackle illicit drugs.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who has information about illegal drugs to please contact members of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team at Rhyl on 101 or otherwise people can contact Crimestoppers anonymously with information on 0800 555 111.”
