Prestatyn by-election results announced

PRESTATYN has elected a new member to its town council.

Conservative Tracy Anne Lawler was elected to represent the Prestatyn Central ward on Prestatyn Town Council with 427 votes, a 39 per cent share.

The by-election was held to replace the seat vacated by former Labour councillor Sherry Edwards, who resigned to spend more time with her family.

David James Lloyd (Labour) received 394 votes (36 per cent), Michael Adrian German (Independent) 190 (17per cent) and Gary Alexander Bourne (Independent) received 76 votes (7 per cent).

The total number of votes cast was 1,087, a turnout of 39 per cent.
