A CHARITY football match will be taking place in Prestatyn this weekend in aid of mum-of-two, Cheryl Sheard, who is battling terminal cancer.

The gates at Bastion Gardens will open at 1pm on Saturday, May 24, for a day of family fun before the match between Prestatyn Town FC and Prestatyn Sports FC starts with a 4pm kick-off.

There will be ample entertainment for all the family such as bouncy castles, giant naughts and crosses and snakes and ladders, an inflatable football obstacle course, popcorn and candyfloss machines, prizes up for grabs, a BBQ, refreshments and a bar.

After the game there will also be entertainment, a raffle and items such as a signed England shirt, a signed Steven Gerrard autobiography, and a signed match ball from the Arsenal vs Norwich last game of the season, up for auction.

Admission is £2 for adults and free for children, and all proceeds will be going towards Cheryl and her family for a holiday to Disneyland Paris.
