UPDATE: Man in his 70's dies in A55 Llanddulas crash

A MAN in his 70s has died after a crash in Llanddulas.

The crash occurred when a brown coloured '61' plated Citroen C4 Grand Picasso collided with the central reservation on the A55 eastbound carriageway at 4.50pm.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene to treat the man and his passenger, both from West Yorkshire, but the driver died from his injuries at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

The family of the man have been notified.

Inspector Gareth Jones, from North Wales Police control room, said: "A full investigation will now take place and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it."
