Man airlifted to hospital after Prestatyn demolition derby crash

A MAN in his 20s was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious spinal injuries in a Prestatyn demolition derby. 

Emergency services rushed to the collision on private land off Ffordd Ffynnon at about 5.50pm on Sunday. 

Firefighters cut the injured man out of the vehicle and he was taken by a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. 

Police, a paramedic and an emergency ambulance also attended the scene.
