POLICE APPEAL: After attack and sexual assault in Prestatyn

POLICE are appealing for information to help identify a man who assaulted a young woman in Prestatyn.

The incident happened at about 2pm on Monday, March 10 and involved a 17-year-old female who was attacked and sexually assaulted in Gas Works Lane, Prestatyn.

North Wales Police Detectives are calling on the public to help them identify the man who is described as a white male, aged about 20 and over 6' foot in height. He is further described as being slim build but with broad shoulders and arms.

Investigating Officer DC Beverley Humphreys at St Asaph CID said: “At about 2pm on Monday 10th March 2014 a 17 year old female was attacked and sexually assaulted in Gas Works Lane, Prestatyn. After the assault her assailant made off from the area in the direction of the town centre.

“The offender was wearing a black coloured hooded top and black denim jeans.

"If you were in the area at the time and saw any suspicious person or activity, or you recognise the man I’d ask you make contact with Police immediately.”
