Two men arrested after Towyn fire drugs find

TWO men have been arrested after a fire in a house in Towyn.

The men, aged 28 and 49, were taken into custody at St Asaph police station after fire and police investigators discovered 20 cannabis plants and "associated paraphernalia" after the house fire on Bryn Road at 2.20am today (Wednesday).

One woman was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd to be treated with smoke inhalation and a  man was treated at the scene.

Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to fight the flames.

Damage was limited to the room of origin.

The investigation into the cause of the blaze is still ongoing.
