AN estate agent lettings manageress accused of stealing more than £90,000 had allegedly spent £6,000 on a breast reduction operation.
Amanda Mann, aged 43, who a jury heard also bought Jimmy Choo shoes, was warned by a judge that she faces a jail term.
She was found guilty at Caernarfon crown court of 17 counts of theft.
Mann had worked for Fletcher and Poole estate agents at Conwy and was promoted to lettings manageress ten years ago.
Prosecutor Elen Owen said most tenants paid in cash and Mann dealt with banking.
She'd been regarded as a friend by her employer but there had been “systematic syphoning off of money” which should have gone to the company.
The barrister said application fees paid by tenants had been stolen, commission fees paid by landlords hadn't been passed on, and deposit payments had also vanished.
The charges involved £7,500 and spanned nearly four years but the prosecution claimed the total amount missing was more than £90,000.
Mann, of Rhyl Road, Rhuddlan, had been suspended then sacked in 2011 and police called in.
The prosecutor said bank statements showed Mann had £17,000 debts but periodically deposited large sums of cash.
She had lived in a flat above the office and paid £300-a-month rent in cash.
Among some of her extravagant spending was that on breast reduction surgery.
Mann accepted to police that she was heavily in debt but denied any wrongdoing by her.
The prosecution alleged there was “overwhelming” evidence against her.
Her counsel Owen Edwards sought a pre-sentence report. She was remanded on conditional bail until she is sentenced in May.
Recorder Timothy Petts told Mann: “Custody will be uppermost in my mind.”
