ROCKER Mike Peters has teamed up with a community choir for his latest concert.

The Alarm frontman from Dyserth and Rhuddlan-based Acquire will perform with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Cardiff Bay on April 11.

The collaboration came about after Acquire sang backing vocals on Peters’ 30th anniversary edition of The Alarm’s Declaration album.

A spokeswoman for the choir said: “Little did we know we would have the opportunity to not only perform with Mike Peters in such prestigious surroundings but to be able to sing with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and be recorded for the BBC Radio Wales Music Day.

“It’s all a little surreal to be honest.”

The concert will be broadcast at 9pm on BBC Radio Wales Music Day, April 25.
