Pedestrian killed after collision with bus in Bodelwyddan

A MAN has been killed after collision with a bus in Bodelwyddan.

Just before 8am on Saturday (March 8) police and other emergency services attended Sarn Lane in Bodelwyddan following a collision involving a pedestrian and a public service bus.

The pedestrian, who police said is local, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were a small number of passengers on the bus at this time, one of whom went to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd having sustained what are believed to be minor injuries.

Chief Inspector Darren Wareing said: “The Investigation into the collision is already underway and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who was travelling along that stretch of road after 7.30am this morning to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.49am on Saturday March 8, to an incident on Sarn Lane, Bodelwyddan. Crew in an emergency ambulance attended the scene, where one person was pronounced dead."
