A COMMUNITY celebration to honour Rhyl's heroes will return in April.

The Tenors of Rock headline the Rhyl Town Mayor's Gala Award Concert at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre on Saturday, April 19.

The show is a celebration of achievement in the community and a number of local heroes will receive awards on the night.

Cllr Andy Rutherford, Mayor of Rhyl, said: "This is to recognise people that have gone above and beyond in the community.

"It is a chance to celebrate Rhyl and to recognise the community achievements and business achievements in the town. It is going to be a great night."

Last year Britain’s Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam Johnson performed at the event which celebrated good neighbours, voluntary workers and groups, art groups, businesses, youth mentors, sports clubs and community fundraisers.

Cllr Rutherford said: "The Tenors of Rock are back by popular demand following their knockout performances in the town’s Proms on the Prom concert last August and the Christmas Pops last December."

The event is organised by Rhyl Town Council. Tickets are on sale at £5 from the Pavilion Theatre on 01745 330000.
