REPAIR work on a section of Rhyl's sea defences damaged in December's storms will start today (Monday).
The promenade between Splash Point and the Sun Centre will be closed so work can start to repair the secondary sea defence wall, which was damaged during the tidal surge.
The work has been timed to ensure the prom will be reopened for Easter.
Cllr David Smith, cabinet lead member for Environment, said: "Since the storms hit in December, as well as directly assisting people who have been displaced from their homes we have also been working to assess the damage to the sea wall and put in place measures to carry out the repair work. I am pleased to see work is now due to begin."
If, for any reason, there is still any work still outstanding and further closure will be after the Easter break.
