A RHYL woman has been arrested after the execution of a search warrant in Llewellyn Court, Rhyl.

She was detained and questioned in connection with the cultivation of what North Wales Police believed to be cannabis after the warrant on February 11.

Investigation Officer Sergeant Chris Bell said: “A warrant was executed under the misuse of drugs act and a number of what we believe to be cannabis plants recovered at the property.

"This is an intelligence led operation and conducted as part of our on-going effort to tackle illegal drug production, possession and supply in the town.

"I’d also like to reassure and thank the local community for their help and support and in particular their patience and cooperation this morning whilst we conducted this operation."

Anyone with information regarding the production, supply or use of controlled drugs in the area can contact North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
