CHARITY minded Rosie Hellawell has eaten 60 oranges in one day to raise money for children in the third world.

Rosie, who goes to Sir William Borlase's Grammar School in Marlow, munched her way through the fruit last Friday, but by the end of the day she was feeling juiced out.

She said: "I was so ill afterwards. I had tummy ache and I was sick. I can't even bring myself to drink a glass of orange juice now.

"But it didn't take too long to wear-off and it was definitely worth it."

The 15-year-old, from Ford Way, Downley, has raised £140 from her fruity efforts.

Mum Kathy Fairhead said: "She felt quite ill by Friday night which continued through to Saturday morning. Her tummy was really sore but she was okay by Saturday evening.

Rosie has raised money for the charity World Vision before and hopes to one day publish a magazine encouraging others to get involved with fundraising.

Her mum added: "We are really proud of her, she has done very well."
