THE YOUTH Club building for Towyn and Kinmel Bay is to be auctioned off.

The club moved out of the Grade II listed building in 2013 and as no other Conwy County Council services were required of the property, the Cabinet agreed on November 26, to dispose of the building.

Councillor Ken Stone, said: “If the building is no longer used for community services once it is sold off this will be a huge loss to the community.

“Many groups hold meetings and hire out the rooms as there are already many useful facilities in the building such as the kitchen.

“It has been slightly neglected in recent years but all that needs doing to it is a modernisation of the interior.”

The youth club is now working out of a mobile vehicle, taking its services to the young people rather than the young people coming to them.

The building located on Towyn Road, Towyn, will be up for auction through Pugh Auctions www.pugh-auctions.com.
