Rhyl man found dead in flat has been named

A 36-year-old Rhyl man who died in a flat last week has been named.

North Wales Police are treating the death of Lawrence Durkin as unexplained after they were called to Aquarium Street, Rhyl, at 10pm last Thursday.

North East Wales coroner John Gittins has opened and adjourned an inquest and said the cause of death has been deferred for further tests.

A 31-year-old woman from Rhyl was arrested at the same location on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs.

She has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A Police spokesman said: "North Wales Police and other emergency services attended a flat in Aquarium Street where they discovered the body of a local man who was pronounced dead at the scene."
