X FACTOR star Rhydian Roberts wowed crowds in Rhyl on Sunday as part of the town's annual free Christmas Pops concert.

Rhydian appeared as a special guest of headliners Tenors of Rock at St Thomas’ Church on Sunday.

Tenors of Rock have also appeared on X Factor where they receive huge public support and high praise.

Sian Davies, Denbighshire Council's events manager, said: "It was an amazing concert.

"Tenors of Rock were phenomenal, they had a standing ovation.
"The church was packed, it was standing room only."

Ysgol Emmanuel School Choir and local male vocalist Joe Woolford also performed while Britan's Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam Johnson, of Holywell, attended the event to show their support for the town.

Funds were also raised for various charities including the Mayor of Rhyl's flood fund.

Sian added: "People were very generous. I would like to thank everyone who donated."
