18-year-old woman died and man arrested after Bodelwyddan road crash

AN 18-year-old woman has died after a serious road crash in Bodelwyddan.

Emergency services swarmed the scene on Abergele Road at 8.15am today (Wednesday), after a collision involving a red Mercedes Box van and a white Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian.

Her family have been informed. 

The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa sustained serious but not life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Box van has been arrested in connection with the collision. 

Emergency vehicles are still at the scene and North Wales Police said they are likely to be for some time.  

Locals are asked to seek alternative routes. 

An invesitgation has been launched.
