YSGOL Glan Clwyd achieved a 100 per cent A-E pass rate at A-level standard.
The announcement maintains the St Asaph school’s very high standard of previous years and the main indicators show improvement compared to last year, once again above both local and national average.
Headteacher, Martin Davies, said: “It is especially heartening to see students following and succeeding in a wide range of academic and vocational courses at AS and A2 level offered within the Dyffryn Clwyd Consortium.
“We are very proud of our 100 per cent level three threshold this year. To achieve (the) level three threshold, candidates entered for two or more A-level qualifications need to achieve A-E grades (Pass).
“It is pleasing to note that these young people have succeeded academically as well as making a full and valuable contribution to school and community life. Students and staff deserve praise for their hard work and dedication.”
Mr Davies added: “Almost all students have obtained the grades or points score required for them to enter the university of their choice - attaining their personal, and often challenging targets.
“We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our students the very best as they take the next step in their careers and thank their parents/guardians, who have given valuable support to their children and the school over the years.”
