A PRESTATYN man was buried in an Elvis suit and transported to his funeral on the back of a scrap metal truck.
More than 400 people paid an emotional farewell to former semi-professional darts player and doorman Brian Sweetman, 61, at Prestatyn Parish Church last week.
Mr Sweetman, of Church Walks, had issued the list of wishes for his funeral ahead of his death.
They said he had always wanted to be a scrap metal dealer and was a huge Elvis fan.
Songs played during the service included Elvis versions of Working Man and How Great Thou Art while his son Sonny sang If Tomorrow Never Comes during the service.
Mr Sweetman was diagnosed with liver cancer just months ago and died on February 18.
A fundraising drive to raise £30,000 to help pay for private treatment to diagnose the primary source of the disease was launched by family and friends,.
The grandfather-of-five who married wife Jean only three months ago was described as a “true family man”.
Mr Sweetman, who grew up in Dyserth, is one of nine brothers and sisters and will also be sadly missed by children Tina, Kerry, Sonny, Jade and Danny.
