A 15 month old baby has become the fourth victim to lose his life following a house fire in Prestatyn on Friday night.
Charlie Timbrell who was rescued from a fire at his home in Maes y Goers, has passed away this afternoon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital surrounded by his family.
In a statement, the family, said: "We wish to thank the community of Prestatyn for all their flowers, cards and messages of condolences.
" A special thanks from all the family goes to those individuals who made every effort on this tragic night to help and assist with the rescue of Lee-Anna, Liam, Charlie, Skye and Bailey, and those who offered their support to the fire service and police.
"Thanks also go to all the hospital staff who have assisted in the care and treatment of those concerned in this heartbreaking incident.”
Charlie's mother, Lee-Anna Shiers, aged 20, along with her niece Skye Allen, aged two, and her nephew, Bailey Allen, aged four, also died in the blaze.
Charlie's father, 23-year-old Liam Timbrell, remains stable but critical in hospital.
Det Supt John Chapman said: “My sincere condolences go out to the family at this tragic time.
“We will continue to work closely with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to determine what exactly happened and to ensure a thorough and meticulous investigation into this incident.”
The man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder remain in custody and continue to be questioned by police.
