AN EMOTIONAL farewell was said to the little girl that touched the hearts of the community.

Three-year-old Paige Williams’ life was celebrated during a service at Prestatyn Parish Church, followed by committal at Bron Y Nant crematorium on Tuesday.

Paige’s story inspired a massive fundraising drive which saw family, friends, Journal readers and members of the community raising more than £40,000 to send the toddler on her dream trip to Disneyland Paris, to meet her cartoon favourites Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Paige lost her battle on September 16, just months after being diagnosed with a grade three glioma in her brain stem.

Since she passed away, hundreds of people have taken to social networking site, Facebook, showing their continued support for Paige’s parents, Rebecca Williams and Michael Rider.
