RHYL FC players showed their support for Breast Cancer Care Wales.
The football club launched a special edition pink third strip at this week’s friendly match with Premier League champions Manchester City, with funds raised from the kit’s sales going to the cancer charity, who are the team’s charity of choice for 2012/13.
Rhyl FC General Manager Mike Jones said: “Everyone at the club’s looking forward to realising money for it. There will be a donation made from every kit sold, and we’ll be doing collections throughout the season for Breast Cancer Wales.
“We have a women’s team at Rhyl for the first time this season, and it’s an opportunity for us to get involved with a caharity that really helps ladies through a tough time.
“Everton did something similar a few years ago which did a lot for the charity, and nothing like this has been done in the area. We’ve already ahd a few sales, which is great for the charity.”
The shirts are on sale now at Rhyl FC club shop.
