A RELIGIOUS group has launched a vile attack on a forthcoming event near Bangor dubbing it “evil.”
Christian Voice chief Stephen Green said the group would “seriously consider” protesting at North Wales Pride at Hendre Hall in Talybont on October 5-7.
Mr Green claimed pevious events, such as the North Wales Mardi Gras, had were not well attended.
He said: “Homosexuality is a minority interest in north Wales, but we’re still called upon to oppose evil and that’s what we should be trying to do.
“Any event which is proud of perversion is evil.”
The group caused anger earlier this year when members distributed anti-gay leaflets in Beaumaris, before the North Wales Mardi Gras.
Mr Green added that the Bible called on the group to oppose the event, which will be headlined by former X Factor contestant Sammi Brooks.
He added: “It’s something which is devisive and arrogant and, at a time when homosexual groups are seeking to redefine marriage for all us, is highly provocative.”
Organisers Cymru Pride Wales hope the event, which will also include DJ Dave Booth, will be the first of many in the region.
North Wales Pride will also include acts from the region, along with yoga, salsa and zumba taster sessions.
