PREPARATIONS for Paige Williams’ Disney Dream are now in place as she will set off next week.
The terminally ill brave toddler, will visit her cartoon favourites, Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Disney Land Paris on August 14.
The holiday has been made possible after a fantastic response from the community, who have helped raise £38,000, inspired by the three-year-old from Prestatyn, who has been given just months after she was diagnosed with a severe brain tumour.
Tina Jones, from Tiny Tots Nursery, who are the registered charity for Paige, said to raise that amount of money is absolutely amazing.
“It has been a fantastic response since it was on the front page of the Journal,” she said.
“The holiday is all booked and the family have got a motor home to travel in.
“The trip is designed to be a smooth transition for Paige.
“She’s not been well and is deteriorating - it is really sad to see.
“The doctor has said she is ok to go so fingers crossed.”
Kirsty Jones, also from Tiny Tots, said money is still coming in.
“After the holiday the money will be used for any equipment needed for Paige, and then it will go to a charity of her parents’ choice,” she said.
Parents Michael and Rebecca celebrated Paige’s christening on August 5 at Prestatyn Parish Church.
