WREXHAM FC have struck a groundbreaking deal with Wrexham Lager.
Historically, the old brewery was a key sponsor of the Reds and to this day Wrexham fans still belt out a football chant to the tune of Bread of Heaven, substituting the title lyric with Wrexham Lager.
Now the brewery, which was revived in 2011 by the Roberts family of Wrexham, has agreed to sponsor the Reds once again and the club will proudly display the Wrexham Lager logo on the back of the first-team shorts.
Wrexham FC commercial manager Phil Jones said: “Wrexham Lager as a brand has a long association with Wrexham Football Club.
“Now the brewery has been revived with great success, by the Roberts family, we are absolutely thrilled they have become such a strategic partner.
“At games Wrexham fans for many years have famously sung the anthem Wrexham Lager – feed me ‘til I want no more.
“What a perfect fit for the brand to now appear on the first-team kit.
“We plan to cross-promote Wrexham Lager on a range of merchandise and we are delighted the famous brew will be available on match days in the ground.”
