A CAT had to have its leg amputated after becoming trapped in a deckchair.
The ginger and black female tortoiseshell cat was found by a member of the public in their garden on Mawddwy Avenue, Wrexham, trapped by her back leg in a folding deckchair.
Once released, the cat, which had a badly bent and injured leg, was taken to the vet’s, where the leg was amputated.
The cat had no microchip or collar but a found poster has been put up in the area following the incident last Wednesday.
RSPCA Inspector Kia Thomas said: “This poor cat may well have jumped up on the deckchair for a bit of a snooze in the sun or to clean itself but the chair had somehow snapped shut with its leg inside.
“We really hope this is an owned cat which has been missing from a good home and fingers crossed that a caring owner will come forward.”
Call the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018 if you recognise the cat.
