Nine more arrests over Evans tweets

A FURTHER nine arrests have been made as part of an investigation into the naming of a rape victim on Twitter.

North Wales Police have arrested three men and women from Rhyl, Prestatyn and Llanddulas, as well as another woman in Broughton, Flintshire and another two men in Colwyn Bay and Abergele.

Three men from South Yorkshire had already been arrested as part of the investigation, two under Section 5 of the Secual Offences Amendments Act and another on suspicion of Malicious Communication. All three have since been released on bail.

North Wales Police DS Bob Halford said: "We continue to be proactive in this investigation and anticipate that further arrests will be made in the near future.
