POLICE APPEAL: attempted robbery in Rhyl

A MAN is being traced after an attempted robbery in Rhyl.


North Wales Police today launched an appeal for witnesses after an incident took place on Aquarium Street in Rhyl from 7.30pm to 7.45pm on Thursday.


A force spokesman said: “Although nothing was stolen during the incident, police are keen to trace the offender, who is described as being white, approximately 5’5 tall and of slim build.


“He was wearing a distinctive jacket which was bright blue with light coloured hoops or stripes on the upper left arm.


Anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area of Aquarium Street and John Street between 7.30pm and 8pm is asked to contact DC Richard Evans at Central CID on 101.
