THREE men have been arrested in connection with a spate of vehicles thefts in north Gwynedd.

The men, who are local to the area, were arrested following thefts in the Llanrug and Bethel areas on Sunday, January 29 and Monday, January 30.

A large quantity of stolen property has been recovered and the investigation is continuing.

Inspector Simon Barrasford said: “We are keen to re-iterate the message of how important it is for people to lock their vehicles and to remove all property from display.

“I would ask the public to double check they have locked their cars and taken personal items when leaving their cars unattended.

North Wales Police are also keen to speak to members of the public who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Llanrug and Bethel areas between January 29 and 30.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Insp Barrasford added: “I want to reassure the community that we take this type of crime very seriously and that we will continue to use every Police resource available to us to target, identify, and arrest those responsible.”
