THE RSPCA has rescued a seal trapped inside Wylfa Power Station.
The female adult grey seal entered the station near Cemaes Bay through the filter system where she was spotted by a member of staff.
RSPCA inspector Mike Pugh was able to remove the seal, which avoided injury, from the station's sea water filtration system.
The seal was then released at Cemlyn Bay.
Mr Pugh said: "Seals are in general quite inquisitive and cheeky hence it may have been nosing around the power station, but it could also have been hunting for fish.
"Luckily it has sustained no injuries from its adventures and looked quite a happy chappy when released back into the wide ocean."
