ANTI-RACISM campaigners teamed up with Rhyl and Prestatyn Town football clubs last week.
A Show Racism the Red Card workshop led by former Cardiff City midfielder Christian Roberts took place at Prestatyn’s Bastion Gardens ground and Rhyl High School, reminding school children that all forms of racism are unacceptable.
Campaign Worker Jason Webber said that the workshops were well received by the students across both visits.
“They were fantastic, and all really wanted to get on board with the messge,” he said.
“We talked about how all forms of racism are wrong, whether it’s race, nationality or religion.
The children also took part in a question and answer session with Christian and players from both local clubs, with prizes including match tickets for an upcoming Rhyl match and a Prestatyn Town away shirt awarded for the best questions.
The Football Association of Wales initiative is being endorsed by football clubs and communities across Wales.
