WHAT could have been a cat-astrophe ended up the purrfect day for a curious feline.

Onlookers on Penrhyn Road, Colwyn Bay, were left puzzled as panicked meows came from the buildings on the corner of Princes Drive.

Nicky, a two-year-old ginger tomcat, had climbed on to the roof - four storeys high - after escaping from his owner’s flat through a bedroom window.

Owner Paul Hunt, 50, said: “I’ve been here for six months, and it’s the first time he’s done it. I’d just walked around the corner, and I heard a cat meowing from the roof. I was glad to have him back safe and sound.”

Nicky proved he was a top cat by finding his own way home after his rooftop adventure.
