THE annual Beamaris bonfire and firework display has been cancelled.

Beaumaris Bonfire Committee spokesman John W Jones  today (Thursday, October 13) cited roadworks, refurbishment to the town's pier and a high tide as reason why the event could not be held.

"Beaumaris Bonfire Committee regrets having to make this decision, but wants to inform visitors that Beaumaris Bonfire and Firework Display will return to normal in 2012," he said.
