ABERGELE began their cup run in style with a 87-8 13-try romp against Holyhead.
Two quick tries within minutes of kick off set the tone for Abergele who overwhelmed the frail division three side’s back line.
Double try scoring scrum half Gareth Smith was on hand to supply Callum Mattock who sent the Gele back line through for 11 of the Abergele scores.
Perry Clark, made a strong claim for the number 14 shirt with six tries, Ashley Wynne and Callum Mattock showing raw power and pace to grab a try each.
Gaz Evans added a try to his 11 conversions with forwards Gareth Beach and Gethin Jones also getting in on the act.
An impressive start to his Abergele career was made by flanker Josh Stocker who put in a man of the match performance.

RHYL ran riot in their opening Swalec Bowl tie hammering Mid Wales side Knighton 82-7.
The Dragons ran in 14 tries with centre Jason Blackmore running in the first try after just two minutes followed by six more before the break from Gareth Jones, Kriss Wilkes, Jack Hughes and Matt Hession and two from number eight Dale Blackmore which included a superb solo run from the halfway line.
The second half continued in the same vein with tries for Wilkes and Hughes and Blackmore’s hat trick. Man of the match Rhodri Carlton Jones joined the try scoring brigade with Jason Blackmore and James Batey completing the rout.
