MOCHDRE SPORTS 2
LLANSANNAN 3

AFTER a goalless first hour, a goal-den closing 28 minutes ended with Llansannan edging to their first Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League win of the season.
Ross Gilbert’s 62nd minute opener began an exciting spell, which was continued when Gwion Jones doubled the lead after 65 minutes.
However, within five minutes Mochdre were back on level terms thanks to quickfire efforts from Matt Gilmour and Danny Jones.
The day belonged to Llansannan, though, as Gilbert’s second strike sealed the points with 10 minutes left to play.

ST ASAPH 1
MELIDEN 1

A FIRST half strike meant that St Asaph were able to make their point over the weekend.
But it could have been so much better for the Saints, who ended Meliden’s 100 per cent winning start to the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division season.
Jason Foulkes had St Asaph in front on 40 minutes and that’s how it stayed until just five minutes from time, when Danny Marshall levelled for Meliden.

Y GLANNAU 1
RHOS UNITED 2
ST ASAPH side Y Glannau failed to build on a promising start as they slipped to a home defeat versus Rhos United.
Sion Rowlands had the home side in front after just a dozen minutes of play, but United were back on level terms eight minutes before the break when Edward Haley struck.
Neil Brown and Haley added second half strikes to complete a 3-1 scoreline.

CERRIGYDRUDION 1
ABERGELE COLTS 2

TOM Lloyd’s last minute goal brought an end to Cerrigydrudion’s unbeaten start to the season.
Cerrig went into their home match versus Abergele Colts as Division One leaders, but they fell behind to a first half goal from Ben Hamount.
Troy Williams made it one-apiece early in the second half and Cerrig appeared on course to pick up a point, until Tom Lloyd popped up with Abergele’s dramatic last-gasp winner.

BETWS-YN-RHOS 4
BRO CERNYW 1

BRO CERNYW are still looking for their first league win of the season, although they had their moments at Betws-yn-Rhos.
John Seymour’s goal gave Bro the lead after half-an-hour, while Phil Williams managed to equalise five minutes into the second half.
Williams scored again after an hour, but the points remained in the balance right up until the closing four minutes, when two further goals gave the hosts a flattering margin of victory.

ABERGELE DRAGONS RES 0
LLANDYRNOG UNITED RES 2

TWO first half goals ensured Llandyrnog reserves maintained their perfect start to the season at Abergele.
The visitors started brightly and Gaz John Williams went close after being put through by skipper Dai Davies, but he couldn't find a way past the keeper.
Abergele had a brief spell of attacking football, but they couldn't beat Stu Griffiths who marked his debut with a terrific performance in goal.
The villagers gained the initiative on 40 minutes when Dai Davies converted a penalty, which was awarded for handball.
Llandyrnog doubled the lead in stoppage time at the end of the first half courtesy of Craig Jones’ header,
There were to be no more goals in the game, but the wet conditions made for a difficult second half.
Stu Griffiths was called into action again between the posts, while Craig Jones thought he had scored again with a great individual effort, but this was cleared off the line.
Man of the match for Llandyrnog was midfielder John Stamatiou.
