Bersham 198 all out
Conwy 199-1
Conwy won by nine wickets
A MAGNIFICENT partnership between Shaun Davies and Rajjenu Britto guided Conwy to victory over Bersham in their penultimate match of the season.
Dan Davies was the star bowler of the afternoon after Bersham opted to bat first, mopping up the tail end with four wickets for 39 as the hosts put up 198 all out.
Ioan Williams and Dan Wilson both took two wickets, whilst Philip Wilson and Shaun Davies rounded off the innings.
After tea, Davies and Britto paired up to score all most all of Conwy’s winning total, with the former scoring an unbeaten 90 and the latter 66.
Daniel Davies joined in with one run, whilst the remaining 40 runs came from extras as Conwy cruised home in the 30th over.
The Seconds were also victorious over the weekend in a well contested clash with Castell Alun.
A 58 run knock from Eric Shillcock provided the bulk of Conwy’s 147 for nine, with Stuart Watkins, Philip Davies and Graham Heath also making double figures.
Conwy’s bowles then saw off the Castell resistance with 32 runs to spare, as David Owen took three for 21 and both Hugh Kelly and Nick Davies bagged a pair of wickets.
Conwy complete their season this weekend by welcoming Bangor, whilst the Seconds travel to Bersham.
