A GROUP of filmmaking friends will be hosting a preview for their new independently funded movie.
TP4 Films, a group of three friends who wrote, directed produced a comedy entitled Last Night at Emilio’s, will be showing an extended trailer of their film at Langtry’s bar on Llandudno’s pier on Friday September 9 at 8:00pm.
The movie was filmed in a Conwy restaurant over 18 nights in April, and funded largely by online contributions from film-lovers who raised $1000 on website indiegogo.com, with word-of-mouth publicity spread on Twitter and Facebook.
Marcus Mitchell, a member of the production team, which also includes writer and director Dom Farelli and producer Daniel Rhodes, said making the film had been “a terrific thing to be part of”, which had involved the efforts of a variety of professional and amateur actors, as well as friends of the producers.
He said: “It was absolutely worth it - even though I went without sleep for three weeks.”
Entry for the evening will cost £3 on the door. The screening of the trailer will be accompanied by live performances from local bands included on the film’s soundtrack, including Ellie Markham, Junebug and Beyond the State.
