TOP pop acts descended on Rhyl over the weekend for this year’s rain-soaked Fun in the Sun.
The line-up read like a tribute to the music of the Noughties along with some of the most exciting talent around.
Crowds gathered on Rhyl Events Arena over three days for a free music festival.
Saturday saw a celebration of music legends including Take That and Madonna but it was a torrential rain packed arena that welcomed the event’s biggest names on Sunday.
Heavy showers drenched early arrivals at around lunchtime on Sunday but remarkably come 3pm as the headline act, Pop Idol finalist Gareth Gates took to the stage, the sun shone.
The singer treated the Rhyl crowd to a selection of his hits and even took time to meet fans and sign autographs.
Carrying on the Noughties theme he was joined by S Club Reunion whose set wowed the assembled crowds.
