BEACH-GOERS demonstrated their sand-scultping skills this week during the annual Sandcastle Competion.
Now in its third year, the contest organised by The Imperial Hotel saw teams and individuals reach for their buckets and spades to craft towering castles and artistic sculptures within the two hour deadline.
Following a difficult judging decision by general manager of The Imperial Hotel, Geoff Lofthouse, Mayor of Llandudno Cllr Greg Robbins and Miss Alice, winners were named as George and Arthur Lawrence from Poynton for the children's prize, the Dowling family from Middlesex in the family category, and the Chwarae Teg Holiday Club from Penrhyn Bay in the group award.
Other winning sculptures included Emily Oldfield from Old Colwyn, the Jones family from Leicester and Craig Y Don's Chasebell Out Of School Club
