A LEVEL results day has seen droves of students from across Conwy continue their rate of success.
Conwy County Borough Advanced Level students have maintained the high level of success seen in previous years, with students scoring an impressive 6.0% for the *A grade compared with the all Wales average of 6.3% percentage points – an improvement on last year's score.
An overall *A – E pass rate of 97.6% was achieved, which exceeded the all Wales score.
The Cabinet Member for Lifelong Learning, Cllr Wyn Jones, and the Head of Education Services, Mr R. Geraint James, have issued the following joint statement:
“These excellent results have been achieved as a result of hard work and dedication by the students themselves together with the committed and professional support of their teachers.
"We congratulate them all and wish all students every success in their future careers."
They added that they also wished to acknowledge and celebrate the achievement of students in other examinations, including AS examinations, vocational courses and the Welsh Baccalaureate, although an authority analysis of these results was not yet available.
