POLICE are hunting an attacker who indecently assaulted a woman in Prestatyn as she walked her dog.
At approximately 8.40pm on Saturday 9th July the woman was walking her dog along the footpath which runs from the football fields behind Winchester Drive towards Ffordd Penrhwylfa in Prestatyn.
As she approached the bridge she noticed a man sitting on the bench opposite the bridge.
As she walked towards him he exposed himself before grabbing her behind.
The victim managed to push him away and walk over the bridge and across the field, which leads to the footpath which runs alongside the park on Ffordd Penrhwylfa.
As she looked back, she saw the man walking in the opposite direction towards the football fields.
The man is described as being white with a local accent, aged about 16 to 17 years old, with short mid brown coloured hair and freckles on his cheeks under his eyes.
He was wearing navy tracksuit trousers and a short sleeved t-shirt which was a lighter shade of blue than his trousers.
PC Kerry Nash said: “There were a number of people in the area as it was still light and it is generally a busy area where people walk their dogs."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information relating to the man should contact PC Nash at Prestatyn Police Station on 101 if in Wales, 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
