A MAN was taken to a specialist hospital after a midnight assault.
Police arrived at the scene at Edward Henry Street in Rhyl shortly after 12am on April 26 after reports of violence.
A 37 year old man, who has not been named, was treated by paramedics for head and facial injuries.
The man was transferred to Walton hospital where he remains in a critical condition, and the scene has been cordoned off by police for forensic examination.
A 23 year old man is helping police with their enquiries.
North Wales Police is now appealing to the local community for their help in identifying those responsible for the assault and urge anyone with information to come forward.
