We aim to wave the flag for Rhyl
Re. the letter from Mrs A Ward, 'Rhyl missing out on tourists' (Journal Postbag, April 16).
In the letter Mrs Ward asks where are the high quality hotels? Well Mrs Ward, I'd like to invite you to come and visit Ty^n Rhyl, where we have been here slogging away for the past 17 years.
My husband and I love this big old house and have worked long and hard to make it special.
We have a 4 star rating off the Welsh Tourist board and also from the AA.
My husband the Chef has two AA rosettes for his cuisine and, if you care to look at Trip Advisor, our guests have written some very pleasing comments.
Indeed, there are one or two quality B & Bs in Rhyl that I am confident of sending any inquiries should I be unable to accommodate them.
Rhyl has its problems like many places and each of us must do what we can where we can to improve things.
We at Barratt's are committed to doing our very best and hope one day to achieve a five star rating
When we do we will be waving the flag for Rhyl.
MRS E BARRATT (via email)
