A THEATRE company is on the hunt for 1960s memorabilia.
Rhyl and District Musical Theatre company is staging Made in Dagenham this month, a musical comedy based on the true story of the Ford Dagenham machinists strike, which helped lead to the Equal Pay Act.
The group is appealing for photographs of cars from the 60s – Fords in particular – 1960s clothing, glasses, shoes, handbags, family photos, posters, newspaper cuttings and more.
Anything received will be put on display during the week of the production.
A spokesman from the company said: "It would be great if the community could dust off their memories – that may have been hidden away for years – and allow us to put them on display to share with our audience.
"You never know. Your contribution may ever appear on stage as part of the show."
Items can be be dropped today off between 6.45pm and 9pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at The Operatic Centre, Vale Road until today.
Alternatively, email Rhylmusicaltheatre@hotmail.co.uk
All donations will be recorded and returned following the show.
Made in Dagenham will run from Wednesday, May 16 until Saturday, May 19.
Tickets are £12, available from www.rhylmusicaltheatre.co.uk or telephone 0333 666 3366
